PARENTS TELEVISION COUNCIL SLAMS MTV OVER 'UNACCEPTABLE' VMA PERFORMANCES ... (I.E. MILEY CYRUS)

The Parents Advisory Council ripped MTV over some of the performances during the VMAs on Sunday.

Miley Cyrus stripped down to her rubber underwear to get wild onstage with Robin Thicke, grinding her butt into his crotch at one point.

For the show's opening performance, Lady Gaga bared her butt in a tiny thong while she sang her new song, "Applause."

PTC execs released a statement saying, "MTV has once again succeeded in marketing sexually charged messages to young children using former child stars... while falsely rating this program as appropriate for kids as young as 14. This is unacceptable."

The council's director of public policy added, "MTV continues to sexually exploit young women by promoting acts that incorporate 'twerking' in a nude-colored bikini. How is this image of former child star Miley Cyrus appropriate for 14 year olds?"
