A Massachusetts high school student received detention when he called his Spanish teacher a communist because she refused to televise the USA vs. Slovakia men’s hockey game during class.

The kid's older brother posted a picture of the detention slip online.

It reads:

“Student asked to watch the Olympic Ice Hockey game. I said no. He said ‘You’re a communist, communist, communist.’”

The “Disciplinary Report” then labels the kid’s insult as “Inappropriate speech.”

He was given detention, to be served on Valentine’s Day.

The hockey game occurred on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 7:30 in the morning Eastern Standard Time. The USA team beat the Slovaks by a score of 7-1.
