Listen to Foo Fighters on iHeartRadio

The Foo Fighters' preparation for their big debut in Mexico City apparently includes a little pizza.

Dave Grohl and company surprised diners Tuesday night when they took the stage at Rock and Roll Pizza in Moorpark, California.  The gig was originally supposed to feature drummer Taylor Hawkins' cover band Chevy Metal, but the rest of the Foos apparently wanted to work in a little extra practice ahead of Wednesday's Mexico show.

The concert south of the border marks the band's first ever in Mexico and their first major performance anywhere in more than a year.  The Foo Fighters will play Mexico City again on Friday, but so far those are the only live shows on their schedule.
